Jhalana Leopard Safari Trip

  • 5-6 hours
  • Jhalana Jaipur

Tour Overview

So I went to this place in Jaipur called Jhalana Safari — didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out to be pretty cool. The area’s big, like 30-something square km, and yeah, they’ve got leopards. Didn’t see one up close, but I did catch a glimpse from a distance. Saw some jackals, deer, a few monkeys too. It’s kind of peaceful out there — way quieter than the city. If you like nature and want something chill, this spot’s worth checking out.

Tour Highlights
  • There’s nothing quite like spotting a leopard in the wild — it stops you in your tracks.

  • Along the way, you might catch a flash of a hyena, or see deer grazing quietly under the trees.

  • Your guide isn’t just a driver — they’re storytellers who know the forest inside out.

  • Riding through the dusty trails in an open jeep, the silence of the forest wraps around you.

  • As the sun rises or dips behind the Aravallis, the sky turns gold — and for a moment, everything feels still.

Tour Itinerary
  • So, first off — try to be at the Jhalana Leopard Safari Park gate on time. That’s either 6:00 AM or 4:00 PM, depending on what you picked while booking.
  • Once you’re there, someone from our side will meet you and explain a few things. Nothing complicated — just the basics so you know what to expect.
  • After that, you’ll jump into one of those open jeeps (4×4) with a guide. They’re usually locals who know the area super well — they’ll point out animals and talk about the forest as you drive through.
  • Now, keep your eyes open — if you’re lucky, you might spot a leopard. Could be up in a tree, walking the path, or just chilling near some water. They’re sneaky, so spotting one feels like winning a prize.
  • If you added the Shikar Audi thing, that’s cool too. There’s a two-floor watch tower where you can check out the sunrise or sunset — and honestly, the Aravalli hills look insane from up there.
  • After the safari (and tower bit if you’ve got it), the jeep will drop you back at the starting point — same gate.
  • The whole thing? Takes around 2.5 hours, give or take a bit.
  • One small thing: weather or park instructions might change the flow a little, but overall it’s pretty smooth.
